S&K Technologies, Inc. Contract Specialist II (Remote support authorized) in Saint Ignatius, Montana
POSITION PURPOSE: This position is located in the Office of the Assistant Manager for Business (AMB), Savannah River Field Office (SRFO) and serves as the Contracting Administrative Support Specialist for AMB programs and activities. The Contract Specialist II position will provide administrative support to SRFO contracting officers administering NNSA activities within the site's complex, Multi-billion-dollar cost-reimbursement operating and management contracts and other contracts as required. This position is responsible for providing a variety of contracting and administrative support as assigned and is heavily involved in the day-to-day activities of AMB.
Assist Contracting Officer with preparing documents, tracking, coordinating, and gathering information to facilitate contract closeout.
Coordinate with SME for acceptance of work; organize reviews and manage resolution of comments.
Coordinate with the Contractor to obtain final release; property certification; Government owned documents/records; certification of non-possession of classified documents and material; scientific and technical information; final deliverable report; and final invoice, as applicable.
Coordinate with legal for patent certification and other reviews requiring legal opinion.
Perform the following on a routine basis, or as needed:
Track inputs and gather information for contractor performance evaluation and feedback including monthly feedback reports, interim feedback reports, and annual performance evaluation reports.
Conduct contract closeouts.
Support contract administration, coordination, and documentation preparation.
Provide administrative support, including:
Route and coordinate NNSA Work Authorizations, Implementation Plans, and Work Authorization Modifications. Manage resolution of comments.
Conduct file management (uploading to STRIPES).
Conduct correspondence management.
Conduct calendar coordination and scheduling.
CORE JOB QUALIFICATIONS:Education High School Diploma
Experience Minimum 7 years Federal contracting experience with knowledge of Federal contract administration laws and regulations and knowledge of Federal policies and procedures related to contract administration preferred.
License, Cert or Registration Current driver's license required.
Proof of U.S. Citizenship required.
Must be able to obtain Q-Level security clearance enabling access to various government facilities.
Special knowledge, skills, & abilities This position demands effective communication with an emphasis on confidentially, discretion, flexibility. A high level of professionalism is a must.
Ability to comprehend and comply with various types of Government contracts, financial assistance instruments, inter-agency agreements, and various Federal procurement laws and regulations.
Knowledge of and ability to maneuver in several systems including, but not limited to: Strategic Integrated Procurement System (STRIPES) and Undelivered Orders (UDO) Tracking System.
Knowledge of AMB (or office of acquisitions management) programs, goals, objectives, and priorities, coupled with a wide range of administrative and work processes is desired.
Knowledge of general contracting principles, procedures, methodology and administration sufficient to compile and compose written reports based on reviews and other supporting documentation.
Ability and skill to handle multiple, competing priorities.
Ability and skill to accurately develop and present contract position related materials.
Must have an advanced understanding of correspondence management, data collection, and office software (i.e. eDOCS, Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and FileMaker Pro).
