Hillrom’s patient safety software solutions analyze real-time clinical data from point-of-care devices to identify risk and communicate hospital defined actions to healthcare providers. As part of this high growth initiative, the Lead Engineer – Security and Site Reliability is responsible for helping design and implement customer deployment and monitoring strategies as well as security components for the Hillrom Digital Health solution.
Applies expert technical knowledge to the development of requirements, design and implementation of customer deployment/ monitoring and security solutions for cloud-hosted products
Has a high level of accountability for major elements of a project
Implements process or product changes and engages other staff as appropriate
Provides technical direction or guidance to technical staff in technical area
Infrequent oversight and feedback on work assignments and progress from immediate supervisor
Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Computer Science in appropriate technical discipline or equivalent experience.
Minimum 7-11 years’ experience in an engineering or technical role
Knowledge of and experience with cloud-hosting technologies and strategies
Knowledge of and experience with networking (e.g. VPNs, certificates/PKI)
Experience with Healthcare IT and/or medical device IT solutions preferred
Strong development and coding/ scripting skills
Strong organizational and communication skills
Proficient problem-solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively with others in a team environment
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and applicable Engineering Software
Experience with Azure, Kubernetes, and Docker is preferred
Implement, maintain and troubleshoot end-to-end CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
Experience with automation tools such as Terraform is preferred
Experience with with Git source control, and code review workflows
6 years working in cross functional teams consisting of discipline specific engineers, or comparable experience
