Billings Clinic Per Diem EMT/AEMT (Townsend) in Townsend, Montana
Responsible for transporting patients within our service region via air and ground ambulance to and from a variety of health care facilities. Responsible for assisting with patient care tasks in accordance with scope of practice and under the direction or supervision of the physician. Essential Job Functions • Performs patient care during air and ground medical transports within the defined scope of practice for specific education/certification level and as directed or supervised by the charge nurse and/or physician. Complies with applicable State of Montana rules and regulations, DEACARE protocols, policies and procedures. • Ensures adequate inventory and cleanliness of equipment in flight packs. Informs appropriate personnel of equipment needing repair and initiates work requisitions. • Participates in mandatory on-call rotations and actively participates in covering the staffing needs of the department. Utilizes performance improvement principles to assess and improve quality. • Identifies needs and sets goals for own growth and development; meets all mandatory organizational and departmental requirements. • Maintains competency in all organizational, departmental and outside agency safety standards relevant to job performance. Performs all other duties as assigned or as needed to meet the needs of the department/organization. Minimum Qualifications Education • Current Montana license/certification as a EMT/AEMT • BLS, Certification required • Current Montana Drivers license and the ability to be insured to operate Billings Clinic vehicles Experience • At least 1 year of experience at the current level of licensure • BLS, Certification required • Current Montana license/certification as a EMT/AEMT, at hire
