The Montana Weed Control Association ( is a 501(C)3 nonprofit organization with nearly 800 members. The MWCA is seeking a part time Membership and Technology Assistant to maintain the MWCA membership data with our carrier, Neon Z2 Systems, to ensure integrity of records, including additions, changes and deletions and link database with website in conducting registrations for events, surveys and other Association information. Membership management includes, but is not limited to, sending notices of expiration, processing renewals and acknowledgements, preparing mailing lists and sending e-mail broadcasts. The position is to be located out of the successful candidate's home-based office and is estimated at approximately 15 to 20 hours per week. Major Functions and Accountabilities MEMBERSHIP ADMINISTRATION: Helps maintain the MWCA membership data in the Association's Neon database to ensure integrity of records, including additions, changes and deletions. Provides expiration notices in a timely fashion to members for renewal. Provides reports on membership as needed for the executive director and board of directors. Record information in the database to accurately capture complex individual and organizational relationships. Record detailed information about individuals' membership related activities, not limited to but, including mailings, e mails and phone calls. Generating acknowledgement/thank you for renewing and new members. Website Administration: Help administer the day-to-day activity of the MWCA website including updates. Link database with website in conducting registrations for events, surveys, and other Association information. QUALIFICATIONSSkills and Experience: Ability to work well and communicate effectively and personably with people. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail - ability to work on multiple projects, meet deadlines and work well under pressure. Strong writing skills. Must possess strong time management skills and be a self-starter. Familiarity with Word Press. Mastery of Microsoft Office products. Experience in website management and/or membership development is desired and a degree in technology or a related field is preferredOTHER: Ability to travel to the executive director's home-based office in Twin Bridges once a month or as requested and occasional travel to meetings may be requested. Ability to maintain a home-based office. Reliable Internet access. A laptop and printer will be provided by MWCA and other equipment needs will be determined.WAGES: $15 per hour with the potential for an increase to $17 per hour after completing a successful probation period and review.
