State of Montana Licensed Practical Nurse 2 in Warm Springs, Montana
The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at the Montana State Hospital. TheMontana State Hospital (MSH)in Warm Springs provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana that serves people admitted from communities across the state. Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs)provide assistance and support to clients in a therapeutic environment. This position performs skilled nursing duties, assessments, planning, interventions, and evaluations for adult clients in the facility. Responsibilities include supervises and accounts for patients; provides care as directed by medical and nursing providers; observes, reports, and documents information concerning patient’s physical, emotional, and behavior status; maintains and protects patient rights; recognizes and appropriately responds using therapeutic communication and de-escalations techniques with patients. Additionally, shift differential may available, and one meal is provided per shift.
