State of Montana Registered Nurse (RN) in Warm Springs, Montana

The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity as a Registered Nurse at the Montana State Hospital. TheMontana State Hospital (MSH)in Warm Springs provides inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. MSH is the only public psychiatric hospital in Montana that serves people admitted from communities across the state. Registered Nurses (RNs)provide assistance and support to clients in maintaining a therapeutic environment. This position performs nursing assessment, planning, interventions, and evaluation for adult clients in the facility. Responsibilities include assigning work and providing direction and training to subordinate nursing personnel. Additionally, shift differential may available, and one meal is provided per shift. This position is eligible for a statutory 4% an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2024, and a hiring incentive up to $7,500. Qualifications for this Career Opportunity * Knowledge of nursing, medications, and treatment planning. * Knowledge of patient’s rights regarding medical treatment. * Knowledge of current psychopharmacology. * Skill in the use of the basic instruments and equipment of the nursing profession. * Ability to plan and implement appropriate nursing care interventions. * Ability to perform accurate and thorough work. * Ability to provide patient assessment and appropriate documentation. * Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing. * Ability to analyze, assemble, and organize information. * Ability to proficiently utilize technology related to patient care information systems. * Meet minimum qualifications: o Must be a graduate of an accredited college or university degree in nursing. o Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Montana. o Preferred experience working with psychiatric inpatient treatment programs. * * How to Apply To be considered for a DPHHS position,_submit your application and resume_on the State of Montana Careers website.
