SUMMARY OF DUTIES:

This position is responsible for providing our passengers with superior customer service from behind the ticket counter,

baggage/express counter or on the station floor or platform. The ability to maintain a positive, good natured attitude is essential.

Responsible for greeting, servicing and general comfort of each passenger.

Representative must be comfortable with interacting with customers and using Amtrak computer systems.

Representative must be available to attend Customer Service Training in either Wilmington, DE, Chicago, IL or Los Angeles, CA.

Representative will be trained on every job in the station environment, Ticketing, Baggage, Accounting, Station Agent, Baggage Lead and Redcap services.

Representative must be able to lift 50lbs on a regular basis, must be willing to operate a forklift, baggage tugs and people movers.

Representative must be willing to perform janitorial work and other duties as assigned by the Station Agent or District Manager.

Must be willing to work all shifts, weekends and holidays.

This is an on-call position and must be available to accept job assignments on a daily basis. This job is based out of the Whitefish, MT station.

In accordance with DOT regulations (49 CFR \* 40.25), Amtrak is required to obtain prior drug and alcohol testing records for applicants/employees intending to perform safety-sensitive duties for covered Department of Transportation positions. If an applicant/employee refuses to provide written consent for Amtrak to obtain these records, the individual will not be permitted to perform safety-sensitive functions.
