Ensures highest quality standards of housekeeping and cleanliness are maintained for all public hotel areas. May run errands and perform tasks as assigned by Location Manager or Housekeeping Manager. Must assist in other departments or with other job duties as requested or necessary.

  • Arrives to work on time and in proper uniform.

  • Meets with Location Managers upon arrival, to obtain daily assignments.

  • Cleans all public areas in and around hotel including floors, carpets, desks, chairs and other furniture.

  • Cleans all public restroom areas (with bell staff checking on-the-hour-every-hour and giving assistance) including the restrooms for the swimming pool and golf course.

  • Cleans hallways, stairways, lounge areas, porches, entranceways and other such areas as directed.

  • Cleans all offices and administrative areas on a daily basis.

  • Vacuums, spot-cleans and shampoos carpets as needed.

  • Dust mops wood floors daily. Dusts, moves and arranges furniture.

  • May wash walls, cleans windows, blinds, windowsills, counter and tops.

  • May clean office or other equipment and polish metal work.

  • Keeps supply rooms and porter closets stocked, neat and orderly.

  • May put away office and/or cleaning supplies.

  • Changes mop heads and dust rags through the Central Laundry, as needed.

  • May assist in setting up and breaking down rooms for conventions, meetings, movies, banquets, social events and for special groups as needed.

  • When daily cleaning chores and responsibilities are completed, checks with Manager for special assignments as needed. Before leaving shift at day’s end, checks all areas one more time for trash and litter and general tidiness.

  • May be required to assist with turn down service or other guest needs on a routine basis.

  • Adheres to all Company policies and regulations.

  • Assists in other departments or with other job duties as requested or necessary.

  • Must be able to work alone and often without direct supervision.

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

  • Must have an adaptable approach to daily chores and possess a flexible attitude.

  • Must have a good eye for detail and the ability to efficiently multi-task.

  • Must be able to relate with guests and co-workers in a courteous, friendly, tactful, helpful and caring manner.

  • Possess ability to use good judgement in the office areas; must use tact and discretion due to exposure to confidential matters.

  • Possess ability to work well with management and co-workers, and demonstrates good representation of the housekeeping staff.

  • Will work indoors and outdoors as required.

  • Job requires constant walking, bending, lifting, carrying, stretching and moving, including climbing staircases.

  • Generally works alone.

  • May be required to work an early morning or a late evening shift.

  • Job may require lifting up to 25lbs. repetitively, and up to 50lbs. on occasion.

  • Non-smoking environment.
