Job Summary:We are seeking a skilled and experienced Dietary Cook to join our team. As a Dietary Cook, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking meals for our residents in accordance with their dietary needs and preferences. Your culinary expertise and attention to detail will contribute to creating a positive dining experience for our residents.Responsibilities:- Engage with residents in a friendly and professional manner, responding to their dietary concerns and preferences with empathy and respect.- Ensure that all meals are prepared in a timely manner and served at the appropriate temperature- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment- Collaborate with the administrator to plan menus that meet the nutritional needs of our residents- Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking food supplies- Monitor portion control to minimize waste and ensure cost efficiency- Maintain accurate records of food production, including meal counts and special diet requests- Adhere to all safety and health regulations in the kitchenQualifications:- Previous experience as a cook in a kitchen or restaurant setting is preferred- Knowledge of food preparation techniques, including knife skills and cooking methods- Familiarity with menu planning and recipe development- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidaysPlease submit your resume highlighting your relevant experience in the culinary field.
