Wibaux Public School Agriculture Education Instructor in Wibaux, Montana

Wibaux Public Schools is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Agricultural Teacher to join our team and serve as the FFA Advisor. This position is an integral part of our school community, contributing to the education and development of students in a small rural setting. The successful candidate will be passionate about agriculture, possess effective teaching skills, and have a strong commitment to the success of the FFA program.

  • Teaching:
    • Design and deliver engaging and comprehensive agricultural education curriculum for junior high and high school students.
    • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
    • Utilize diverse teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles.
    • Facilitate practical, hands-on experiences related to agriculture,
    • Provide students with opportunities to apply theoretical knowledge in real-world scenarios
    • Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and administrators to integrate agricultural education into cross-curricular activities.
    • Engage with the local community, agricultural organizations, and industry professionals to enhance students' exposure to real-world agricultural practices.
  • FFA Program Leadership:
    • Serve as the FFA Advisor, overseeing the implementation and success of the FFA program.
    • Coordinate and guide students in various FFA activities, including but not limited to, career development events, leadership conferences, and community service projects.
    • Mentor FFA members in developing leadership, teamwork, and communication skills.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Agricultural Education or a related field.
  • State teaching certification or eligibility for certification.
  • Experience in teaching agricultural education at the junior high/high school level is preferred.
  • Knowledge of FFA programs and a proven track record of successful FFA leadership.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Wibaux County High School has approximately 60 students grades 7-12 with Our district has a 4 day work week.
