CITY OF WOLF POINT Pool Manager in WOLF POINT, Montana
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Recreation Director
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION: Under close supervision, performs specific assignments in the parks and recreation program; works vary little from prescribed standards and guidelines; Individual judgment relating to safety is required.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: Shall possess required certifications for assigned tasks and must be physically able to perform as a Coach, Lifeguard, or playground supervisor. May be exposed to chlorine.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be physically able to perform as a Coach, Lifeguard, or playground Supervisor. Work generally is performed out of doors and may be subject to sun, heat, and cold; however, can be controllable during inclement weather.
MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY AND PERFORMANCE: Shall perform such
duties in the Parks and Recreation program as assigned. Employees may be certified in Athletic Training and First Aid. Other certifications may be required based on the assignment.
As a coach shall supervise and manage youth in the area of baseball/softball; Shall teach basic, intermediate, and advanced skills; Duties include coaching practices, games, and tournaments; maintaining field and facilities required for program usage; and other related duties.
As a Lifeguard shall perform lifeguard duties in/on pool premises, teach swimming lessons, may supervise change house, maintain pool facilities, park house, and pool operations; may perform duties as grounds maintenance as needed for park and recreational facilities.
Shall prepare a daily report of activities; responsible for assigned equipment and facilities requiring care; contact with the public is constant in which ability to perform duties is directly affected through communications; work requires physical effort related to assignments that may include running, walking, swimming, bending, stooping, and lifting; work generally is performed out of doors and may be subject to sun, heat, and cold, however, can be controllable during inclement weather; May be exposed to chlorine; position requires skill in the use of safety equipment and procedures to prevent injury.
SUPERVISION - RESPONSIBILITY FOR WORK OF OTHERS: Generally is not
responsible for the work of others, however, is responsible for the safety and well-being of those under their care.
